I need 2 yards of this fabric, I saw it a month ago at a calico corners franchise in FL, but they've run out and don't know where to get more. This is a screen-printed cotton blend home decor fabric. Any help would be VERY appreciated!! | 6/19/2010 | 22879 | |

My wife and I very much enjoy sewing lately and are becoming pretty good. Recently she asked me if she could buy this very simple to make purse that is quite expensive. I thought why not it would be fun to make a few for friends. It is a Herve Chapelier. I have been all over the internet and to day just returned from the garment district in down town LA. I can descripe it as a thick nylon. that reminds me of a plastic feel to the touch and has a coarse scratchy sound when you rub your nails against it. Very coated(almost rubbery plastic) Defiantly nothing in a natural fiber. Has a semi shinny sheen to it. all the colors are pastels. Also the oposite side of the pattern is coated with a solid white vinyl. I found somthing similar today that had the white vinal inside and almost the same texture but without the plastic feel and the plastic sheen. also not as stiff. You couldn't force this stuff to wrinkle. Thank you in advance! | 6/19/2010 | 22877 |
